my father would've even kicked the shit out of hemingway

i don't bullshit in my poems
by that i mean three things:
1.) i only write poems that need to be written
2.) i don't put any unnecessary words in my poems
3.) i tell the truth

by the way, here's some truth:
i never learned shit from studying w/ginsberg
he wasn't that good of a teacher
it was just inspiring for him to have liked my
poems

more truth:
even though he was an asshole, my father
actually taught me how to write
when he opened his mouth he screamed
& when he screamed it was only what
needed to be said
he threw a lot of 'cunts' & 'cocksuckers'
& 'motherfuckers' into the mix
which only accentuated everything

for example, when the old toilet paper roll
w/the loose screws thumped too many times
against the wall when i pulled the
tissue off it to wipe my ass
& he banged on the bathroom door & screamed:
DONT BE THROWIN' ALL THAT PAPER IN
THE FUCKING BOWL YOU MOTHERFUCKER & GET
YOUR ASS OUTSIDE & HELP ME STAPLE THIS PLASTIC
OVER THE WINDOWS
it was so forceful you got up off the seat
dirty ass & all & got out of there
& went out in the cold to insulate the house
so when the heat was turned down so low that you
could breath smoke in bed at least the drafts
were blocked

i'm not in any way promoting being an asshole 
what i'm trying to say is there isn't enough
time for us to bullshit
people are dying out there, people are
contemplating the edge of a bridge
people are weeping @ the first sign of the sun
people are weeping as night comes on hard
we are all alone, groping for relief

what i am saying is we need more writers who
write like an ogre is banging at their door
twisting the doorknob, working @ the hinges
screaming thru the barrier for them not to waste
paper, not to clog the pipes w/extra words,
w/bullshit  

just shit man, shit & keep pulling the trigger
of that staplegun
