Medusa's Muse

Medusa's Muse is looking for more submissions for the Punk Anthology. We need
stories, essays, artwork, poetry, lyrics, cartoons and photographs
which show how the energy of Punk and DIY positively transformed
and/or empowered you.

We're sick of junkie stories and we know many people who say Punk was a positive influence in their lives. That's what Medusa's Muse wants to read more about. Medusa's Muse is a small, independent press located in Ukiah, Ca. Our
first book, a memoir by Laura Fogg called "Traveling Blind; Life
Lessons from Unlikely Teachers," debuted November 07.

Our next book, a funny memoir about money and family, is scheduled for release in Fall 08 and the Punk Rock Anthology will arrive Spring 09.

Currently we have stories from young and older Punks from N.
California, LA, Boston, London, Austin, Barcelona Spain, and Baton
Rouge. Men and Women. Half are musicians, the rest are teachers,
computer geeks, artists, and parents. But we can use more.
Unfortunately, we can't pay for your work (no one is getting paid, not
even the publisher) but you receive two books, can buy more at a
discount, and we'll plug your music, writing, etc., on our website.
Plus, a portion of book sales will go to "Gilman Street" to help
support their work with youth in the Bay Area, Cal.

Submission" in the subject line. Be sure and include a cover letter
with your contact info, especially email, and a little about who you
are. The writing should be less than 10 pages and at least 1 page and
sent in the body of an email. Artwork can be sent as an attachment.
