Green Card

The giant tampons
of some long dead goddess
lay disregarded in the shale
like mile markers
while you hide behind closed doors
god’s little gimp
pimping your soul for
the red ball-gag
shoved just past your teeth
the leather straps
digging into your cheeks
the drowning stench of methane
and despite it all you still believe
it’s going to be a beautiful day

Memories of WCW

I sit here attempting to read
William Carlos Williams while shitting and
I am reminded of the girl
who first introduced him to me
She wrote poems about
sunshine in the late afternoon and
climbing trees in a cast and
raising her son alone, and
despite how it sounds
her words were quite good

She stood in class one night reading
The Red Wheel Barrow
filling the room with
rain and chickens and
disparity
hypnotizing me with the
sparsity of his words
yet
this batch I read now
is page after page of
yellow flowers hiding sweet Asian pussy and
the names of fallen goddesses used to
arrange Ménage à trois and
dogs dying in the streets to
hide his own failures

These 182 pages are as appetizing as
the mess floating in the porcelain below me
yet the memory of brown flesh and
that scar floating on her lip
make up for
the poetry of another great man

Fractal

Nervous of murder
despite the reality of blood flow
I learned
the first taste of the goddess
will ruin you
as will
the rumble of a big block or
the moon

Folded into the palate
into the darkness
I knew
those brush strokes meant
more about destruction
than the future and
less about art

All it takes is a smattering of
coffee stains in the snow or
hands clasped like dead leaves to
remind me that
puzzles were left ungiven

About OW!
Outsider Writers have been distributing chapbooks in dark subterranean caverns for too long. The corporate presses and literary institutions have no vision. The media is irrelevant. It's time to rise into the sun!

Our Goal: Unite the write! We will join forces where we are strong, eliminate duplication of effort where we are weak and put the power and authority over literature back into the hands of the only legitimate owners: the authors and the readers.
