Thank you all, loyal contributors and readers to THE LEAGUE OF LABORING POETS.   As you may know the website has gone down.  We were besieged by a nefarious spammer who polluted and confused the website.   The cost for repair and prevention was just too much to continue.   BUT, the love for poetry prevails and we are going to a hard copy version.   I have just reviewed the first mock up and it is beautiful!   28 pages of 5.5 by 8.5 size  volume.   It will publish quarterly: WINTER = Jan, SPRING = Apr, SUMMER = July and FALL = October.   We are pushing to send out our premier issue this NOVEMBER!

So if you liked us in the past and wish to continue the realtionship, send us your poems.

Email them to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it or via US Postal Mail to

19850 Arrow Hwy, #C10

Covina, CA 91724

Publication  will pay two copies.   Each issue will award a $25 prize for "Best of Issue" for the previous issue.

Subscription for the magazine is $10 per year.   $3 for individual copies.   No entree fees for the contest and you need not be a subscriber to submit (although we will appreciate all subscriptions and honor your name when we hoist a pint at staff meetings.)

This publication will include some  photography and artwork, which is at this time by invitation, but later on will open up to submissions.

All forms of poetry acceptable.   Previously published work must include an acknowledgment.    In the future we will include interviews and book reviews as well as poems.

We are looking forward to hearing from you as we start to put together the first issue.

WE ARE BACK!    And ready to spread poetry  in hard copy.

Sincerely,

Tom Conroy

About OW!
Outsider Writers have been distributing chapbooks in dark subterranean caverns for too long. The corporate presses and literary institutions have no vision. The media is irrelevant. It's time to rise into the sun!

Our Goal: Unite the write! We will join forces where we are strong, eliminate duplication of effort where we are weak and put the power and authority over literature back into the hands of the only legitimate owners: the authors and the readers.
