Submission Guidelines:

• Word count: Up to 10,000 words.
• First-time writers and previously published writers accepted. Electronic Submissions Only. (Please note: The advertisement in the July/August Issue of Poets and Writers is incorrect.) Please email your work and also include a cover letter, introducing yourself, your previous experience, and how you heard about us.
• No previously published work.
• Although short stories are preferable, we also accept novel excerpts.
• Email submission (preferred) to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . Attachments in .doc format.
• Multiple Submissions: We do allow multiple submissions (no more than four). When you email your works, just indicate which work is a normal entry and which is a contest entry. Then, go to our contest link to use PayPal to send your entry fee (or send your check by mail if you do not have an account). For example, you may send one work normally (no entry fee) and one other work through the Short Story Contest ($300 Prize -- $12 entry fee).

First Serial rights only. All other rights are retained by the author. Submissions that are accepted for publication will be awarded free copies of the journal.
