Motherkisser is a forthcoming poetry e-zine, for the non-mainstream, non-academic, non-aligned, sidelined, kick-ass poets of the globe. No nepotism, no flowery crap, just the best free-verse writing from the best writers in the small press.



Ok, here's the skinny...

Submissions are now open for the maiden voyage of the Motherkisser.

Send 1, 2 or 3 poems of any length.

Simultaneous submissions fine, so long as you inform if poems submitted to Motherkisser are accepted elsewhere.

Previously published poems ok but if previously published poems submitted, please say where. Let's be cool.

Poems posted on MySpace or similar blogs cool to submit but Motherkisser would rather have something new, or amazing, or both. But if a poem's good, it's good.

If you're gonna rhyme, make it as good as Thom Gunn, and not like a Hallmark "Happy Birthday Auntie Phyllis" card.

Plan is for first edition of Motherkisser to scream into being first weekend in August. Yes or no on your submission sometime before then, the general rule of thumb being the same as the doctor: the earlier you hear, the worse the news. Author bios will be asked for upon acceptance.

I sent 3 poems of any length to MotherKisser. But my point is - to acknowledge The Guild of Outsider Writers for providing the heads up. Thanks, it's an excellent service you provide.
