I'm performing at Mac's Backs (1820 Coventry Road, Cleveland Heights, Ohio 44118) on Thursday at 7 p.m. I'll probably read some from my rock and roll novel The Pornographic Flabbergasted Emus, croon while playing the guitar, and channel dead professional wrestlers to give advice to the audience. Maybe an hour long tops. It is free and should be fun!
About two weeks ago we asked our visitors what they thought outsider writers needed, as existing systems do not support this wide range of untapped talent. The results are below.

I must admit to ulterior motives in us putting up this poll. OW! has very quickly established its web presence, set out what it is and what we want to achieve. We’ve arrived successfully at our initial state so fast we haven’t had a lot of time to consider…what next?

More stats for our first week:
1373 hits, 555 of them unique, from 24 countries. That means a lot of people are returning for another look!
As usual, the US is number one, with Canada a close third. But what's really great, and from out of left field, is that we are inexplicably popular in Sweden! Obviously, Swedes are exceptionally discerning!
So to our Swedish fans, thank you, and please press your government to hire us for poetry readings. We're very cheap and desperate!

What is even better is that we have launched this site with no budget, no marketing, no hype--just sending out emails to friends, and letting the word spread. For one week, we're doing just fine! Watch us grow, and grow with us!
