The Redneck Kafka and other stories is a chapbook of stories written between 2000 - 2005. They range from surreal to realistic. But they're mostly surreal. Even when they're being realistic. Because humanity is surreal. It's surreal because we already live in complete freedom. Although most of us don't really know it. Two of the stories feature Danny Sullivan, my alter-ego who is nothing like me. The book is, of course, complete biography and complete fiction and nothing in between. I don't believe in linear time so none of the stories contain actual memories. Of mine, that is. There are a lot of future and past memories of other people, who are also me, because I and they are made of the universe (if you believe that Zen bullshit). It took five years to collect a chapbook's worth of material. So look for my next chapbook in or around 2012 or somesuch. A couple of the stories were first published in the legendary online journal, Babel Magazine. Another, my first print publication, was published in The Whirligig.
I am awesome. My writing is awesome. Therefore, you want to read my awesomeness. Right? Okay........Here it is!

About OW!
Outsider Writers have been distributing chapbooks in dark subterranean caverns for too long. The corporate presses and literary institutions have no vision. The media is irrelevant. It's time to rise into the sun!
Our Goal: Unite the write! We will join forces where we are strong, eliminate duplication of effort where we are weak and put the power and authority over literature back into the hands of the only legitimate owners: the authors and the readers.
