Wow. a lot of great thoughts here. I look forward to the next one. 
 
I find myself agreeing with a lot of stuff here and disagreeing with a bunch of other stuff. I think in the end the only thing that matters is that you are doing what you want - whether that's writing for an audience, publishing, writing for yourself. The key is that traditional standards of success, or other people's standards of success are ignored. You really follow your own.
