philofers1Crazy bookshelves that would surely make the owner appear as a pompous ass. But they do look pretty cool. | Outsider, Tim Hall, is involved with a great seeming project called The Torn Pages, which mashes Chicago writers and artists together to make children’s books. | A fantastic essay from Andy Hunter of Electric Literature about the potential for independent publishers to win because they “are better suited to thrive in an age where profits are smaller, audiences are fragmented, and low-fi marketing can go viral.” | Amazon forces LibraryThing to feature only Amazon links on primary pages. I say, “lame.” So does LibraryThing…but they’ve got some clever workarounds. | Depression and writers - a match made in…oh well, never mind. | Glenn Beck and literary fiction; is he the next great writer of dystopian fiction? | Though banned books week was more than a few moons ago, this interactive map of affected books is still impressive. What type of passionate haters with too much time do you live near? | SONY, of all entities, embraces small press and unknown authors with Smashwords. |

Jesus, I guess instead of sending my book to willing reviewers, I should have sent copies to these pencil necked imbeciles (Banned Books). You can’t buy this kind of publicity!

Ha. That’s actually a good idea. Send the books to the school officials or town officials in the banned book towns with a letter (apparently legitimate letter) indicating that these books are going to be taught in the local schools for the coming years.

Then sit back and let the publicity come.
