If they get anything in return, it's the intrinsic value of their experiences. I'm glad to see Free Verse will continue under new editors. This is perhaps as it should be. People work as virtual volunteers for a time and then step aside to continue their own writing. Younger writers step in and fill the gap. Nothing wrong with that at all..
