The Man Cave with Hosho McCreesh
Again The Wardrums Thunder,
Again The Deathknell Gongs,
Again The Wrack & Ruin,
Again The Ignorance
& Arrogance of Man..
Bomb the world,
the whole damned thing.
Fine, have at it.
They’ve constructed a kind of
puerile & barbaric logic to it,
so fine, bomb it all,
great, terrific, fantastic.
Why stop there?
Bomb the planets.
Bomb the stars.
Bomb the suns, the moons.
Bomb the dark & the wretched,
bomb the haunting, redemptive light.
Bomb the sacred, & the unholy.
Bomb the different, & the same.
Bomb the other, bomb the self.
Bomb the goddamned gods.
Bomb the heroes, & the saviors,
bomb the innocent, & the splintered remnants.
Bomb the buried kings, the rotting czars.
Bomb the bonemeal bloodpuddles.
Bomb the seething & fiery origins,
bomb the throbbing, vascular stems.
Cover the earth with a charred, bitter salt.
Cover the earth with sun-bleached bone.
Cover it with boiling oceans, radioactive glass.
Make, of all this, a stark & barren loam,
make of this, for whoever or
whatever comes next,
a mashed-up menagerie
of Utopia & holocaust,
all of it
shrouded
in smoke.
