Yes, the EEEEEEEs are extended, even though they are silent. In the future, every letter is pronounced.
We have some mighty wort in the tun for 2010.
- A site re-design is on the way. The current theme we use is pretty old and doesn’t work well in newer browsers. So, out with the old, and in with a newer, fresher, more muscly version of the OWC you love and we love to love. Expect the dust-up to happen mid-January or so.
- At the end of January we will be announcing the winner of our fiction chapbook contest. We received a lot of submissions. Unfortunately, most of them suck. Kidding. I’ve just always wanted to say that; it seems so many contest summaries include some form of “we received so many wonderful…blah, blah, blah.” But really, we did receive so many wonderful blah, blah, blah.

- Perhaps the most visually impressive news, on account of the image above, the next chapbook from OW Press will be Tim Hall’s story collection, One Damn Thing After Another (note: this is NOT the chapbook contest winner; this is a completely separate book). For those few of you unfamiliar with Tim Hall’s work, check out any of his articles here at OWC, or check out any of his books. Unless you are expecting crap, you won’t be disappointed.
Much more to come. We’ve got a few new contributors on board, with a few brain cells to waste, so expect a ridiculous amount of amazement forthcoming.

Very excited, thanks for that. I should mention that’s *not* the final cover…the font and text layout will be totally different. But the paper gorilla stays….
I thought that was a Capuchin monk!
I was thinking the alligator from Donkey Kong.
[...] Hall’s One Damn Thing After Another from OW Press. Yeah, I’m partial. I have a hand in bringing this one to life. But know this: [...]
