New online fiction magazine, Lobster Cult, created by Phil Jourdan and Jack Joslin is now accepting submissions. From the site:

Lobster Cult is a new online fiction and nonfiction magazine intended to showcase the work of young, talented but as yet unknown authors.

Our goal is to publish high-quality creative writing in any form; from the flash fiction story to the novella, and even the novel, we aim to provide readers and writers with a medium through which to discover new voices, for free.

If you are interested in submitting to our magazine, please email us at submissions@lobstercult.com.

If you know The Cult or The Velvet, then you know the type of material they are looking for. Both places are full of talented writers whose work tends away from commercial fluff. They have no qualms about rejecting a friend’s work, so know that this place will be full of great writing, not just writing from great friends.
